Dairy Cottage is on a working farm just outside Alford. It's detached, which means no one's through the wall.
It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. The main living space is open plan. There's a wood burner in there. It has a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean but not a show home.
You get your own enclosed garden. It's private, looking out over farm fields. There's parking right outside.
Inside, it's all on one level except for one bedroom which is upstairs. The stairs to that room are a standard cottage staircase. Not a ladder, but watch your head.
For facilities, it's got what you need: dishwasher, washing machine, TV. Towels and bedding are included. We can provide a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.
The farm is quiet. You can walk straight out from the door onto estate paths. Alford village is about three miles away for a shop, pubs, and a swimming pool.
You're on the edge of the Cairngorms National Park. For a day out, Craigievar Castle is about ten minutes drive south. It's a proper pink castle, run by the National Trust for Scotland. Bennachie hill is about twenty minutes away for a good walk up.
If you want to go further, the coast at Aberdeen is about forty minutes by car.
