The Coach House Montgarrie

The Coach House is on our family farm near Alford. It's a semi-detached place, the old coach house for the main farmhouse. It looks out over the fields. You might see cattle or tractors going past.

It sleeps six. Four bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well equipped. There's a woodburning stove for cooler evenings. The WiFi is decent for a rural spot.

You're welcome to bring up to two dogs. There's a garden and it's fully enclosed, which is useful. Parking is right outside.

Alford is about two miles away. It's got shops, a couple of pubs that do food, and a golf course. The Alford Valley Railway is there if you like that sort of thing.

You're in good walking country. Bennachie is just to the north. The River Don is nearby, and we can sometimes sort out fishing for you if you ask ahead.

Aberdeen is about half an hour's drive if you need city shops or a day out. There are a lot of castles around here too. Castle Fraser and Craigievar are both worth a visit. If you fancy a drive, the Cairngorms and the Lecht ski centre are within an hour.

For facilities, it's got everything on the list: dishwasher, washing machine, TV, a cot. Bedding and towels are included. It's a working farm, so expect the normal farm noises and smells during the day.
