Victoria House
This is Victoria House in Chulmleigh. It's a tall, thin townhouse, Grade II listed. Sleeps six, three bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is accurate.
The place is on four floors, so you'll be going up and down stairs a fair bit. They're the original stairs, so they're steep and twist a bit. You do get used to it.
The kitchen is very well equipped. It's got fancy appliances like a Quooker tap and a Miele dishwasher. There's underfloor heating through most of the ground floor, which is good in winter. Two wood burners as well.
Two of the bedrooms are kingsize and have their own en-suite. The third is a double. Each bedroom has a little sink with a boiling water tap for making tea.
Outside is a small courtyard garden. It gets the sun in the afternoon. It's enclosed and private.
Chulmleigh is a small town. There's a couple of pubs, a shop, and a good Indian restaurant. The local golf course is about a mile away.
For bigger days out, you're about halfway between Dartmoor and Exmoor. Both are roughly a 25-30 minute drive. Barnstaple and the North Devon coast are about the same. The Tarka Trail is close if you like cycling.
Included: all bedding and towels, WiFi, a washing machine, and parking for one car on the street outside. No pets.
