Craigdarroch Cottage St Fillans

Craigdarroch Cottage is in St Fillans, Perthshire. It's in the Loch Lomond and Trossachs National Park. The village is on the shore of Loch Earn.

It's a one-bedroom cottage for two people. It's been refurbished but it's a very old building, so think cottage, not hotel. It has a 4 Star rating.

The main room is open plan. Kitchen with an island, a table, and sofas by the wood burner. The bedroom is through an archway. There's a shower room too. Everything is on the ground floor and the entrance is wheelchair accessible. There's a washing machine, TV, WiFi, and parking opposite.

You can bring two dogs. The village shop is a short walk away for basics and fishing permits. There are two hotels in the village that do meals and are dog friendly.

The decking is new. It has a good view down the loch, but you have to go up about thirty steps from the cottage to get to it.

You can walk straight from the door along the old railway line or into the hills. You'll often see birds on the loch and red squirrels in the trees. There's a 9-hole golf course in the village. You can fish or go out on the water.

For a bigger day out, Gleneagles is about forty minutes by car. Stirling Castle is under an hour. Edinburgh, Glasgow, and Perth are all within an hour and fifteen minutes' drive.
