The Barn

The Barn is in Ropsley, which is a village just outside Grantham. It's a barn conversion, so it's all on one level inside. It sleeps two, one bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.

You get your own private garden, and there's a sunroom off the living area. It looks out over the fields where we keep our horses and ponies. It's quiet out there. There's a footpath about ten metres from the gate that takes you straight into the countryside. If the fruit trees by the front door have anything on them when you're here, please help yourself.

There's a dog wash station outside, which is handy if you're bringing your dogs. The place is fine for two pets.

The village pub is a five-minute walk. It's won awards for its food and ale. It's popular, so you might want to book a table. There's fishing in the village lake, and a local golf course.

For a day out, Stamford and Lincoln are nice. Lincoln has the cathedral and castle. Woodhall Spa has the National Golf Centre. Rutland Water is about half an hour away for walking, cycling, or water sports. The Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre are both within a 30-minute drive if that's your sort of thing.

Inside, there's a wood burner, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and wifi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. Parking is on site.
