Henry’s Retreat
Henry's Retreat is near Lenton in Lincolnshire. It's a detached bungalow, so everything's on one level. That's useful if you don't want stairs. It sleeps four in two bedrooms, with one bathroom. It's a 5 Star place, which means it's well looked after and comfortable.
The main thing about it is the garden. It's big. If you like gardening, you'll like it here. It's surrounded by fields at the front and back. There's a sun room to sit in and look out at it all. Very quiet.
You're a bit out of the way. The nearest shop and pub is about three miles, so you'll want a car. It's a good base for driving to places. Grantham is nine miles. Lincoln, with the cathedral and castle, is about a 45 minute drive. Stamford and Burghley House are roughly half an hour. Belvoir Castle is also within half an hour. For a walk locally, the National Trust at Belton House is close.
The lanes around here are good for walks or bike rides straight from the door. There's fishing nearby if that's your thing. A few golf courses are local too.
It has the things you'd need. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. There's a woodburning stove for colder nights. Bedding and towels are included. You can bring up to two dogs. There's parking right there.
