Nightingale Lodge is in Ropsley, which is about halfway between Grantham and Stamford. It's an old farmworker's cottage, attached to the main farmhouse. You've got your own entrance and a private garden.
It sleeps four. There's a bedroom downstairs and one upstairs, so it's flexible. They both have access to a bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's well kept and comfortable.
The conservatory looks out over a paddock. You often see the horses. The wood burner works well, and there's a basket of logs provided when you arrive.
The village pub is about a mile away. You can walk there along a footpath, or it's a short drive. The shop is in the next village, about six miles.
Stamford is a nice market town, about a fifteen minute drive. Oakham and Rutland Water are about twenty five minutes away. If you fancy a day at the coast, Norfolk is just over an hour east.
Lincoln is a brilliant city day out. The cathedral is up on the hill, and the castle is right there too. It's about forty minutes' drive.
For facilities, it's all there: dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot, highchair, and stairgate if you need them. Parking is right outside.
