The Stables is my cottage in Aisby, Lincolnshire. It's detached and mostly on the ground floor, which some people find easier. There are four bedrooms and two bathrooms, so it'll sleep up to eight.
It used to be a proper stable, so there are some original features like beams. That's where the name comes from. The garden is walled and private, with a patio and a gate at the entrance. You can park on site.
Inside, it's warm. There's underfloor heating and a wood burner for when it gets cold. It's a 5 Star place, so it's comfortable. It has the usual things: a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and the bedding and towels are included.
You can bring one dog. There's bicycle storage if you fancy bringing bikes. The lanes around here are quiet for cycling.
The local pub is about a fifteen minute walk away. They do food. The nearest shop is four miles, so you'll want to drive for groceries.
From the door, you can go straight out on country walks. There's local fishing if you're into that, and a few golf courses nearby, including the National Golf Centre at Woodhall Spa.
For a day out, Lincoln is within half an hour. It's got the cathedral and the castle. Places like Stamford, Newark, and Rutland Water are also about a thirty minute drive. Rutland Water has cycling and watersports, and you can hire bikes there. If you're interested in WWII history, the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight and the Lincolnshire Aviation Centre are not far.
