Buttercup Lodge

Buttercup Lodge is near the village of Boothby Pagnell in Lincolnshire. It's one of two lodges in a quiet field on the edge of the village. They're detached and spaced well apart so it feels private.

It's a modern, single-storey building, so everything's on the ground floor with no steps. It's very open plan inside. The heating is underfloor, which works well.

It sleeps four. There are two bedrooms, both with super king size beds that can be split into twins if you ask beforehand. Each bedroom has its own wet room shower. Everything is designed to be accessible, with wider doors and grab rails in places.

You get your own garden patio with a table and chairs. The lodges share a bigger field with a wildflower meadow and ponds. It's very quiet and good for stargazing.

The kitchen has everything, including a dishwasher and a coffee machine. Bedding and towels are included, and they leave a welcome pack with some local produce.

There's a vending machine in the village selling fresh milk, eggs, cheese, and yoghurt. The nearest farm shop is at Burton Coggles, about five minutes away.

For walks, you can go straight out from the lodge onto the local lanes and footpaths. The Danelaw Way long-distance path is nearby for a longer trek.

Local places to visit include Easton Walled Gardens, which is a five-minute drive. The National Trust's Woolsthorpe Manor and Belton House are about fifteen minutes away.

Within half an hour you can get to Stamford, Rutland Water, Grimsthorpe Castle, and Belvoir Castle. Grantham train station is seven miles away if you're arriving by train.

For facilities: there's parking right outside, an electric vehicle charger, a washing machine, WiFi, and a TV. A cot and highchair are available. Sorry, no pets allowed.
