Fiddlers Rest is a first floor apartment. It's in Ballantrae village, about a hundred yards from the beach and the harbour. It's part of a building, so you have neighbours.
The apartment's the one at the top of the stairs. It sleeps four, in two bedrooms. It's got a bathroom with a shower. It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and well equipped. You can bring two dogs.
There's a small garden area and a barbecue, plus parking right outside. It has Wi-Fi, towels and bedding are included, and there's a TV.
The village has a local shop if you need anything. You're right on the Ayrshire Coastal Path. It's a good, flat walk straight from the door. Out the front, you look over to the Isle of Arran.
For a bigger town, Girvan is about a 15-minute drive north. They've got a leisure centre with a pool. You can get boat trips from there out to Ailsa Craig to see the seabirds. Ayr, Prestwick and Troon are all within about half an hour if you want more shops or places to eat.
If you're here without a car, you've got the coastal path. With a car, you can get to places like Stranraer, or down to the Mull of Galloway, in under an hour. There are castles and gardens around if that's your thing. Glasgow and Edinburgh are both about a two-hour drive, so they're more of a full day out.
