Ardstinchar Mews

Ardstinchar Mews is a terraced cottage in Ballantrae. It looks out over the sea towards Northern Ireland. You get the view, and a walled garden that's just for you.

It sleeps eight people. Four bedrooms, three bathrooms. It's got a 5 Star rating, which means it's well-equipped and comfortable. There are two main floors, so the ground floor bedroom and shower room is handy if stairs are a problem.

The village is small. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant all about five minutes walk away. The beach is the same. Ballantrae is right on the Ayrshire Coastal Path, so you can start a walk from the door. You'll see the ruins of Ardstinchar Castle up on the hill.

We take up to two dogs. The local town, Girvan, was voted the most dog-friendly in the UK a while back. It's about a 15 minute drive north. They've got a harbour and a leisure centre with a pool.

For a day out, you can get boat trips from Girvan out to Ailsa Craig to see the birds. Ayr is about half an hour's drive. It's a bigger town with more shops and places to eat. If you want to go over to the Isle of Arran, the ferry leaves from Ardrossan, which is just under an hour away.

The facilities are what you'd expect. Washing machine, dishwasher, TV, WiFi. There's a BBQ in the garden. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
