Stinchar View

Stinchar View is in Ballantrae. It's a detached cottage with an upside-down layout, so the living area is upstairs. That's so you get the view from the main room. Patio doors open onto a deck. There's a private hot tub in the garden, which has the same view out to sea.

It sleeps five in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. The living space is open plan. Parking is on site. It's listed as wheelchair accessible at the entrance.

You're right on the Ayrshire Coastal Path here. You can walk along the river or to the beach from the door. The beach is about a hundred yards away. There's a shop, a pub, and a restaurant the same distance.

Girvan is about a fifteen minute drive south. It's a seaside town with a harbour and a leisure centre pool. They do boat trips from there for fishing or birdwatching.

Ayr, Troon, and Prestwick are all within half an hour or so for a day out. They have the usual shops and places to eat. If you want to go to the islands, you can get ferries to Arran, Bute, or Great Cumbrae from along that coast.

Dumfries and Galloway is a short drive south. Glasgow and Edinburgh are both about an hour and a half away if you fancy a city day.

The place has a woodburning stove, a washing machine, a dishwasher, and a BBQ. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair. You can bring up to two dogs.

Some useful links for the area: Ayrshire Coastal Path and National Trust for Scotland's Culzean Castle, which is nearby.
