The Linhay
The Linhay is our place in Rhode, Somerset. It's a one-bedroom holiday home. We renovated it last year.
It's a bungalow, all on the ground floor. Good parking, and electric gates at the entrance. The main room is open plan: kitchen, dining, and living area together. Patio doors open to a small patio that looks over fields. It gets the sun.
The bedroom has a kingsize bed. The bathroom has both a spa bath and a walk-in shower. We can put a shower seat in on request. We tried to make the place easy to get around; it's wheelchair accessible.
It's at the bottom of the Quantock Hills. The hills are right there for walking. It's quiet. Quantock Hills has maps and current information.
Bridgwater town is about ten minutes drive. There's a supermarket there, and a few other things. For a day out, the coast is about half an hour away. Kilve beach is good for fossils. Burnham-on-Sea, Minehead, and Watchet are all in that direction.
Further afield, you've got Exmoor about forty minutes north. Exmoor National Park is worth a look if you're planning that. To the south, you can get to places like Lyme Regis in under an hour. Wells, Taunton, and Glastonbury are all within half an hour's drive.
Facilities: There's a washing machine, dishwasher, Wi-Fi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. The property is not enclosed, but the patio is private. We accept up to two dogs.
