Cerniog Cabin is near Carno in Mid Wales. It’s up a valley, so the views are pretty good. You’re on your own up there.
It sleeps two, in one bedroom. There’s a sofa bed too if you need it. One shower room. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which means it’s comfortable and well-finished.
There’s a deck with an electric hot tub. It’s a good spot for looking at the stars.
The kitchenette is small but has what you need. Bedding and towels are included. There’s parking right by the cabin and Wi-Fi.
Carno village is about three miles back down the valley. It has a decent local shop and a pub. The pub does food.
For walks, you can go straight from the door. The Elan Valley and Hafren Forest are a short drive for more serious routes. National Trust Wales has ideas.
Machynlleth and Newtown are market towns about twenty minutes away. They’ve got shops, places to eat, and weekly markets.
You can get to the coast at Barmouth, or into southern Snowdonia around Dolgellau, in about an hour. Coed y Brenin forest, near Dolgellau, has mountain bike trails.
