Pen Copi is a 17th century cottage near Trefeglwys in Powys. It's Grade II listed, so it's old. Think timber beams and stone walls. It stands on its own, not attached to anything. That's what 'detached' means here.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable, but it's an old building. The doors are low in places. The floors are uneven. That's just how it is.
There's a wood burning stove for heat. It works well. You get a garden with some furniture, and there's a two acre paddock next to it. If you're bringing dogs, two are allowed. The property is surrounded by farmland. It's quiet.
The village of Trefeglwys is about a mile away. There's a pub there, and a shop. For a bigger shop, Llanidloes is five miles south. It's a nice town. They've got a few places to eat.
For days out, you're in a good spot for mid Wales. The Visit Mid Wales site has ideas. The Hafren Forest is about a 20 minute drive for walking. National Trust Wales properties like Powis Castle are within 45 minutes. For a proper mountain, it's about half an hour to the edge of Snowdonia.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. Parking for two cars on the gravel area.
