Cefnbrith Carriage is near Glanhanog, up a track in the countryside. It’s a converted railway goods van, sits on its own in a field. You get the whole area around it to yourselves.
It’s for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It’s got a 5 Star rating, which it deserves. It’s been done out really well, everything’s new and works.
The main thing is the view. Big windows look straight out over the valley. It’s quiet. You’ll hear birds, maybe sheep, not much else.
There’s a private bit of garden with a hot tub. It’s electric. There’s a fire pit too. Please bring a disposable barbecue if you want one, just be careful with it on the patio.
Carno village has a shop for basics. The Aleppo Merchant Inn is the local pub, does food. It’s a couple of miles.
For walking, you’re right on the edge of forestry. The Hafren Forest and the Elan Valley reservoirs are about half an hour by car. Good for a proper day out.
Machynlleth and Newtown are the nearest proper towns, 20-30 minutes drive. They’ve got supermarkets, a few shops, cafes. The coast at Aberdyfi is about 45 minutes if you fancy the sea.
It has Wi-Fi, parking right there, all bedding and towels are included. No pets.
There are two other cabins on the same land if you’ve got a bigger group wanting to book together.
