Blaen Y Cwm Carno

Blaen Y Cwm is in Carno, which is up a track in the hills. It's completely on its own. You get the views and the silence. That's the main thing.

The cottage sleeps four in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom. It's got a 3 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable, but it's off-grid. There's no mains electricity. The lights run off solar panels. There's no TV and no Wi-Fi. It's for a proper switch off.

Heating and hot water comes from an oil-fired Rayburn in the kitchen. It keeps the place warm. There's a wood burner in the living room too. The floors are a bit wonky in places. It's an old cottage, so that's how it is.

Outside, there's a wood-fired hot tub. It looks out over the valley. The garden is enclosed. There's parking right there.

You're surrounded by fields with sheep. Walking paths start from the gate. Newtown is about a 15-minute drive for shops and pubs. The coast at Aberdyfi is under an hour. Southern Snowdonia is about 40 minutes away if you want mountains.

Things they provide: bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and a highchair if you need them. There's a BBQ. No pets, sorry.
