Blackshaw Farm is located on the outskirts of West Kilbride; Scotland’s first accredited Craft Town. In a private position with views overlooking the surrounding countryside, you can relax and enjoy the peaceful surroundings whilst having all amenities only a short 5 min drive away. Whilst being extended over the years, the farmhouse dates back to the 1820s and is rich in history and character. On two levels, it offers a high standard of comfort throughout and is a great choice at any time of the year. There are two bedrooms upstairs with king size beds and a large family bedroom downstairs with both a double bed and single bed. A travel cot can also be provided on request. The family bathroom upstairs has a walk-in shower. The large living room which has double doors opening on to the country kitchen/diner is a great social space, including a dining table with ample seating for 8 guests. Both the entrance hall and living room benefit from wood burning fires to keep you super cosy during your holiday. There is a pretty garden to the front of the farmhouse with a gate through a traditional drystone dyke leading to a large field, ideal for kickabouts or just letting off steam! Guests can enjoy 8 acres on the small estate with hills, and woodland to explore including a firepit and campfire area on the edge of the woodland just a short distance from the farmhouse. Logs sourced from the farm will be provided free of charge for the wood burning fires and campfire.
