Tarfside
Tarfside is a spacious, ground floor apartment which has been renovated from a former stable house, in the small village of Ascog, only 2½ miles from Rothesay. The apartment has the most fabulous views over Ascog Bay and the Clyde to the Cowal Peninsula in the distance. It is a tastefully decorated apartment, well-suited for families or couples with its close proximity to Ascog beach and the Bute shoreline - offering a peaceful and relaxing stay in a tranquil seaside location. There’s easy access to Rothesay town centre and all the shops, bars, bistros and cafés.
This very quiet, ground floor apartment has private parking, a rear garden, and is furnished and decorated with a light, airy, contemporary atmosphere. The living room, with stunning views over Ascog Bay, is open plan with a dining area and enjoys quite stunning views over Ascog Bay through patio windows, leading onto the terrace and gardens. The kitchen is a good size and comes equipped with modern appliances. The master bedroom with fabulous seaviews, hosts a kingsize bed and en-suite walk-in shower room. The second bedroom with great sea views boasts a double bed. The third bedroom is a twin room, again with fantastic sea views. A large, family bathroom completes the picture. The charming private rear garden is surrounded by a lovely old stone wall, and provides an excellent play space, with lawns, shrubs and gravel terrace.
Ascog is a small residential coastal village on the Island of Bute, close to the main town of Rothesay which is a charming small coastal town and ferry port. It has many interesting shops, cafés, restaurants and attractions. There is an excellent tourist office in the Discovery Centre, which also houses an exhibition about the Isle of Bute. Bute is only 33 miles from Glasgow and is one of the most accessible of the westerly islands from the Scottish Central Belt. 15 miles long and 5 miles across at its widest point, the island is home to many historical sites including Rothesay Castle and Mount Stuart House, beautiful gardens and walks for all abilities including the West Island Way. There are three golf courses on the island as well as horse riding, sailing, kayaking, and fishing. Beach 10 yards. Shop, pub and restaurant 2½ miles.
