It's a good spot for walking or cycling along the river. You can fish or use a canoe. For a day out, Wicksteed Park is under 10 miles away. It's a family theme park.
There are several big houses to visit. Castle Ashby is close by. Rockingham Castle and Lyveden are near Oundle. Althorp is about 15 miles away. Silverstone is 35 miles if you're into motor racing. Oxford and Cambridge are both within an hour's drive.
