This is Len Cottage. It's on our farm in Clopton, Northamptonshire. It's all on one floor, which is handy. You're in the middle of fields here, quiet.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both doubles, and there are two bathrooms. One has a shower, the other a bath. It's got a 5 Star rating, so it's well-equipped and comfortable. Everything's included, bedding, towels, that sort of thing.
You get your own bit of garden. It's enclosed, so fine for a dog. Speaking of which, we take one dog. The garden faces west, so you can get a nice sunset if the evening's clear.
It's a working farm, so you'll see us going about. There are about five miles of tracks and bridleways right from the door. Good for a walk or if you've brought bikes.
The nearest proper shop is in Thrapston, about four miles away. Oundle's a bit closer, maybe three miles. They're nice market towns. Good for a wander and a coffee. There are a few pubs around, the nearest is probably a mile and a half down the lane.
If you want to go out for the day, you've got Rockingham Castle and Kirby Hall nearby. Althorp House is about a 25 minute drive. Cambridge is just over half an hour away, where you can see the colleges and go punting. For something a bit livelier, Wicksteed Park near Kettering is good for kids.
Facilities-wise, it's got what you'd expect: WiFi, TV, a washing machine, dishwasher. Parking right outside. There's no stair gate, as there are no stairs.
