Len Cottage is on our farm in Clopton. It's one of three cottages we've got here, all converted from old farm buildings about twenty years ago. It's single-storey, so everything's on the ground floor.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, and it has two bathrooms. The rating is 5 Star, which means it's well equipped and finished to a decent standard. We can take one dog.
You're half a mile back from a quiet road, so it's very peaceful. The cottage has its own enclosed garden with a patio. The views are over our fields. The sunsets from out there are good on a clear evening.
Being a farm, you can walk straight out from the door. There are about five miles of footpaths and bridleways on the land. It's good for cycling from the door too. You might see hares or deer.
Oundle and Thrapston are the nearest proper towns, both less than five miles away. They've got shops, pubs, and the usual things. Northampton, Peterborough, and Cambridge are all within about forty minutes' drive if you need something bigger.
There's a lot of history around here if that's your thing. Rockingham Castle, Althorp, and Burghley House are all within a half hour drive. For a day out with kids, Wicksteed Park in Kettering is about twenty minutes away.
Inside, it's got what you'd expect: wifi, TV, washing machine, dishwasher. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside.
If the cottage next door, Alice Cottage, is free, we can open a connecting door between them. That's useful for bigger groups or if you need the wheelchair accessible features, as Alice Cottage is adapted for that.
