Graham Cottage is one of three on our working farm near Clopton. It's single-storey, which is handy. There's another called Len Cottage that's the same size, and a smaller one called Alice Cottage next door. They were farm buildings, converted about eighteen years ago.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms, and has two bathrooms. It's a 5 Star place, so it's well kept and everything works as it should. You have your own enclosed garden with a patio. The view is just fields. Sunsets are good from there.
Being a farm, it's quiet. You're half a mile from the nearest proper road. We've got over five miles of footpaths and bridleways on the land that you can walk straight from the door. You'll see deer and hares.
Oundle and Thrapston are the nearest towns, both about five miles. They've got shops, markets, and a few pubs. For a bigger day out, Northampton and Peterborough are within half an hour. Cambridge is about forty minutes if you hit the traffic right.
If you like history, there are a lot of big houses nearby. Althorp, Rockingham Castle, and Burghley House are all within a thirty minute drive. Wicksteed Park, which is an old-fashioned theme park, is about twenty miles away.
Facilities: it has a dishwasher, washing machine, TV, and WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking right outside. You can bring one well-behaved dog. Because it's a working farm, you'll need to keep dogs on a lead around livestock.
