Alice Cottage is a small, single-storey cottage on our working farm near Clopton in Northamptonshire. It sleeps two people in one bedroom. It's got a five star rating for accessibility, which means it's suitable for wheelchair users and has things like a walk-in shower and low worktops.
It's one of three cottages here, all converted from old farm buildings. It's detached. You're about half a mile from a quiet road, so it's very peaceful. The views from the garden are just fields. It's a good spot for a sunset if you get a clear evening.
You're welcome to bring one dog. There's an enclosed garden for it. The cottage has a washing machine and a dishwasher, and the bedding and towels are included.
You can walk directly from the door onto about five miles of farm tracks and bridleways. It's flat, gentle countryside, good for an easy walk or a bike ride.
The nearest proper towns are Oundle and Thrapston, both about five miles away. They have shops and pubs. For a bigger day out, you're within half an hour of a few big houses like Althorp House, Rockingham Castle, and Lyveden. Wimpole Hall is just over 30 minutes away.
If you need more space, Alice Cottage can be connected to the cottage next door, Len Cottage, to sleep six people in three bedrooms. We sometimes have this set up for families.
