Clicker's Cottage is in Ringstead. It sleeps five, in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms.
It was fully refurbished a few years ago, so everything works and it's in good order. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well-equipped.
There's a conservatory at the back. It's got a solid roof and is heated, so you can sit in it any time of year.
The stairs are a bit steep. They're fine, but just mind your head.
Ringstead's got what you need. There's a shop about a hundred yards away. The village has a pub, a fish and chip shop, an Indian takeaway, and a tearoom.
For walks, Stanwick Lakes is about three miles away. It's good for a family day out, with paths and play areas. The Visit Northamptonshire site has more ideas.
If you're after shopping, Rushden Lakes is a big outlet centre about six miles away. Wicksteed Park, which is a family theme park, is just over eight miles.
Facilities in the house include a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. The garden is enclosed. No pets, sorry.
For historic houses, places like Althorp and Rockingham Castle are within a half hour drive. More information is on the English Heritage website.
