Oak Lodge is one of the lodges at Broadview Farm in Blacknest. It's on the edge of the South Downs National Park. The farm has about 100 acres, so it's quiet and you can walk straight out into the fields.
It sleeps six people. There are three bedrooms and two bathrooms. Everything is on the ground floor, so there are no stairs to worry about. You get your own bit of garden out the front with a patio and a barbecue.
It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well set up. There's parking right outside. We can provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. You can bring one dog. The wifi works fine.
There's a pub about a mile away that does food. The nearest shop is in Alton, which is about a ten minute drive. It's a proper market town with supermarkets and a few nice places to eat.
For walks, you're right on the South Downs. The South Downs National Park site has maps and routes. Alice Holt Forest is close by, maybe a fifteen minute drive. It's good for family walks and cycling. The Forestry England page has the details.
If you want a day out, Farnham is about twenty minutes away. Winchester is half an hour. Both are nice for a look around. The coast at Hayling Island or around Portsmouth is just over half an hour if you fancied the seaside.
That's about it. It's a clean, comfortable place in a quiet spot. Good for getting out and about or just sitting in the garden.
