Cedar Lodge is one of five lodges here at Broadview Farm in Blacknest. It's a bungalow, so everything is on one level. That makes it straightforward for anyone who finds stairs difficult.
It sleeps six people in three bedrooms. There are two bathrooms. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well looked after.
You have your own private garden area with a terrace, a barbecue, and furniture. We're on a working farm, so there are fields and animals around. You can bring one dog.
The location is rural. You're on the edge of the South Downs National Park. There's a pub about a mile away, and a shop is roughly two miles. Alton is the nearest proper town, about a ten minute drive.
For walks, you can go straight out from the lodge onto the farm tracks or into the South Downs. Alice Holt Forest is a short drive away and has good walking and cycling trails. It's run by Forestry England. If you want to plan walks in the National Park, the South Downs National Park Authority website is useful.
In terms of things to do nearby, Jane Austen's House in Chawton is about fifteen minutes away. Farnborough is maybe twenty-five minutes for the Air Sciences Museum. If you're coming from further afield, Winchester is just over half an hour's drive.
The lodge has parking right outside. There's Wi-Fi, a TV, and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair if you need them.
