Ostlers Cottage is in Dry Doddington, Lincolnshire. It's on our farm, but it's not a working farm. You're just in the yard with some old farm buildings. It's quiet.
It sleeps four people. Two bedrooms, both with their own bathrooms. That's handy. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well-equipped. The garden's enclosed and looks out over an orchard and fields.
Inside, there's a woodburning stove for colder nights. You've got all the usual things: a dishwasher, washing machine, wifi, TV. Beds are made up for you. There's parking right outside.
You can bring one dog. The garden is enclosed but always check a dog can't find a gap.
The local village has a shop, a butchers and a pub, but they're about three miles away. For a bigger supermarket and more choice of takeaways and pubs, you'd go to Newark, which is about four miles.
Newark's a proper market town. It's got a castle by the river, a cobbled centre, that sort of thing. It's about a five mile drive.
If you want to go further out, there's a lot of big houses and history around here. Belvoir Castle, Burghley House, and Belton House are all within half an hour. Southwell has its minster and a National Trust workhouse. Stamford and Lincoln are both about twenty miles away. Lincoln Cathedral is worth the trip.
