Teal Gonerby Moor

This place is called Teal. It's on a site called Lakeside Retreats, out at Gonerby Moor in Lincolnshire. It's one of about fifty or so lodges, all detached and sat around three fishing lakes. The view from your deck is straight over the water.

It's a 5 Star lodge, which means it's well done inside. Open plan living area, one bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. It sleeps two. Everything's on one level so there are no steps. There are grab rails in the bathroom.

You get your own enclosed deck with furniture. The site itself is quiet, just the lodges and the lakes. You can walk around the park. Fishing is included in your stay and it's for guests only, so it's not crowded. They've got some big catfish in there.

The nearest pub, shop, and restaurant are about two and a half miles away in Great Gonerby. You'll need a car. Grantham is about seven miles. It's got the mainline station if you wanted a day-trip to London, and all the usual supermarkets and bits.

For a day out, Belton House is close by. It's National Trust. Lincoln is about half an hour's drive north. The cathedral is up there, and the castle. If you drive south for half an hour you can get to Rutland Water for cycling or walking.

It says pets are allowed, up to three. Bedding and towels are included. Parking is right outside the lodge.
