Braemar is a wooden bungalow here in Lendalfoot. It's detached so you've got your own space. The main thing is the view. You look straight out over the sea to Ailsa Craig. On a clear day, it's right there.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 3 Star rating, so it's comfortable and clean. There's a woodburning stove for the evenings, which is nice when it's chilly.
You're in a hamlet, so it's quiet. The hills behind are steep, and there are old castle ruins nearby if you like a wander. There's a picnic area a short walk south, with a sandy bit of beach. When the tide's out, you can see seals on the rocks.
For shops or a pub meal, you'd drive to Girvan. That's about six miles. It's a proper seaside town with a harbour.
You're well placed for exploring this bit of the coast and into Dumfries and Galloway. The National Trust for Scotland's Culzean Castle is about a 20 minute drive north. It's a good day out.
Facilities: there's parking right outside, a washing machine, a garden area, and bedding and towels are provided. You can bring up to two dogs.
