The county city of Oxford is within 10 miles and has many attractions including historic buildings and the University, the Bodleian Library, punting along the river, an eclectic mix of restaurants, cafés and bars and great shopping at the Westfield shopping centre.
With areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty in every direction including the Berkshire Downs, The Cotswolds and The Chilterns, you can spend time meandering through country roads, admiring the beautiful scenery, walking and cycling and stopping off at country pubs along the way. Blenheim Palace, birthplace of Winston Churchill is 16 miles and hosts many events throughout the year. There are many other historic houses and stately homes in the area including Kingston Bagpuize House in the village and National Trust areas including White Horse Hill and Badbury woodland.
