The Barn is near Lairg, which is a town up in the northern Highlands. It's called Torroble on the maps. It's a detached, converted barn.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, one bathroom. Both bedrooms have zip and link beds, so you can have doubles or twins, whatever you need. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well kitted out.
The main room is big and open plan with windows on three sides. The view's just over fields. There's a wood burner. The decking outside goes straight off that room. There's an enclosed garden beyond that for dogs.
Location wise, you're on the edge of Lairg. It's about a twenty minute walk into the centre through fields. That means you can walk to the shop or the hotel bar for a pint and not worry about driving.
From there, you've got good options. Falls of Shin for the salmon is a fifteen minute drive. Balblair Distillery for a tour is about twenty five minutes. The beaches at Golspie and Dornoch are maybe half an hour east.
If you want proper mountains, head west into Assynt. That's maybe forty five minutes to an hour. North West Highlands Geopark is up there too. You're also right on the route for the North Coast 500.
Facilities are all there. Washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. It's pet friendly, up to two dogs. There's parking right there.
