The Barn

The Barn is on the edge of Torroble, near Lairg. It's a detached barn conversion. You've got your own parking.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Both bedrooms have zip-and-link beds, so you can have them as twins or a super king. There's one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well equipped.

The main room is open plan. It's a big space with windows on three sides, so you get a lot of light and views over the fields. There's a wood burner. The decking is right off this room. It's private and a good spot to sit out. The garden beyond the decking is enclosed, so it's safe for dogs. You can bring two.

Lairg is about a mile away. You can walk it by going across the fields. There are shops, a couple of restaurants, and a petrol station there.

The location is good for getting out. The Falls of Shin, where you can see salmon jumping, is a ten minute drive. For beaches, Golspie and Dornoch are about half an hour east. If you want mountains and proper wilderness, the Assynt area and the North West Highlands Geopark are under an hour west. You're on the North Coast 500 route here, so it's easy to explore sections of it.

Facilities: it has a washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, and TV. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. The entrance and the main living space are all on the ground floor. The door thresholds are standard, not flush.
