This is Phil's House. It's a single-storey place, so no stairs to worry about. It's detached and sits up a bit on a hill above Lairg village. The main thing is the view. You look straight out over Loch Shin and the hills. It's very quiet.
It sleeps six. Three bedrooms and three bathrooms, which is handy. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well insulated and eco-friendly, so it stays warm. Everything's on one level, which people seem to like.
The house is open plan inside. There's a washing machine and a dishwasher. You've got your own garden and patio with a BBQ. There's parking right there. We can take up to two dogs.
Lairg has a shop and a couple of pubs. They're about a quarter of a mile down the hill. The pubs do food.
If you're here to get outdoors, it's a good spot. There are forest trails for mountain biking straight from the door. You can fish on Loch Shin. For hill walking, you're right on the edge of the Wildland area. Golspie and Tain golf courses are about half an hour's drive away.
If you want a day out, you can drive to the east coast. Dornoch is about 40 minutes. Ullapool to the west is just under an hour. Inverness is the nearest big city, about an hour south.
