This is Primrose, one of the cottages at Ham Hall Lane. It's a single storey place, converted from an old farm building next to our house. It's for two people.
It's a 5 Star place, which really means it's been done up to a high standard. Everything's new and works properly. It's warm, and there's a woodburning stove. The bedroom has its own shower room attached. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've brought a dog. There's parking right outside.
The location is handy. You're just off the A1, about five minutes from Northallerton. The town has supermarkets and shops. There's a farm shop about 400 yards up the lane for nicer things. The nearest pub is in the village, about three quarters of a mile walk.
You're well placed for getting out. The Yorkshire Dales are about a 25 minute drive west. The North York Moors are about 30 minutes east. For a day out, Richmond and Ripon are nice market towns within half an hour. York is about 45 minutes south.
If you're looking for things to do, the National Trust has a few sites nearby like Fountains Abbey. The Yorkshire Dales National Park website is good for walking routes.
Inside, you've got a washing machine, dishwasher, TV, and wifi. All the bedding and towels are included.
