Islington Hall is in Tilney High End, which is near King's Lynn in Norfolk. It's actually one wing of a listed hall, with the main house next door. We live there, but you've got your own entrance and space.
It sleeps eleven people, which is a lot, but that's how it's laid out. Six bedrooms and four bathrooms, so it spreads out quite well. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not just basic.
There's a big enclosed garden that's just for guests. The hot tub is out there, it's private. It's a good place to sit in the evening.
The kitchen has a dishwasher and washing machine. There's a wood burner in the living room. Bedding and towels are included. We've got a highchair, cot and stairgate if you're bringing little ones. You can bring two dogs. There's parking on the drive and an electric vehicle charger.
The local shop and pub are about three miles away in the next village. They're fine for essentials and a meal.
For bigger days out, King's Lynn is the closest proper town. It's medieval and has a harbour. The coast at Hunstanton or Heacham is about a 20 minute drive. They're traditional seaside spots with sandy beaches.
Sandringham House is also about 20 minutes away. It's nice for a walk in the grounds even if you don't go in the house. For a farm visit with children, Church Farm near King's Lynn is popular. Snettisham is good for birdwatching, especially the wading birds.
