The Wee Hoose is in Auchintoul, in the Highlands. It's a detached stone cottage that's been in the family a long time. We've done it up but kept the old bits we liked. It looks out over fields and the river.
It sleeps four. Two bedrooms upstairs, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. The stairs are the original cottage stairs, so they're steep and a bit narrow. Just take your time.
There's a wood burner in the living room. The windowsills are deep. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. You get your own enclosed garden with a patio, good for watching the river. We include all the bedding and towels.
You can bring two dogs. There's a stairgate and a cot if you need them.
It's very quiet here. The nearest pub is about six miles away. The shop is nine miles. You'll want to have a car.
For days out, the Falls of Shin are about half an hour's drive. You can see the salmon leaping there. Royal Dornoch is similar, maybe 35 minutes. It's got a famous golf course and a good beach. Inverness is over an hour away if you need a bigger town.
The area is good for walks, cycling, and fishing. You often see red deer. Birds of prey are common. If you're lucky, you might see an otter down by the river.
