East House Farm

East House Farm is in Beckermonds. It's a hamlet, really. Just a few houses where two streams meet to form the River Wharfe. You're right in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales National Park.

It's a detached stone cottage. Sleeps six, three bedrooms. Two bathrooms, which is handy. There's a 3 Star rating. It's comfortable and clean. The stairs inside are cottage stairs, so they're a bit steep and narrow in parts. Just so you know.

The front garden faces south, gets the sun. You look out over the valley. We get red squirrels around here, quite often. You might see them from the window.

Walking starts right from the door. You're in the middle of it. There's private fly fishing on the beck if that's your thing. Three good pubs are within a few miles walk. The George at Hubberholme, the White Lion at Cray, and the Buck Inn at Buckden. You can link them up in a day's walk if you want.

For shops, you'd drive to Hawes. It's about seven miles. They've got a few shops, a chemist, a couple of banks. The Wensleydale creamery is there if you want to see cheese being made. You can get fish and chips there too.

Facilities: woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, TV, WiFi. Bedding and towels are included. There's parking. You can bring up to two dogs. There's bike storage if you need it.
