East House Farm

East House Farm is in Beckermonds, at the top of Langstrothdale. It's a detached stone cottage. There are only a few other houses here, so it's very quiet. The front garden gets the sun and looks south over the fields.

It sleeps six, with three bedrooms and two bathrooms. It's a 3 Star place, so it's comfortable and clean. It's got a woodburning stove, which is nice in the evenings. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. There's parking right outside.

The road past the house is a dead end, so there's very little traffic. You can get to the river in about a minute's walk. You have fishing rights on about a mile of the Wharfe. It starts literally at the bottom of the garden.

For a pint, the George Inn at Hubberholme is about a mile and a half walk down the valley. The White Lion at Cray and the Buck Inn at Buckden are a bit further. You can walk a circuit to all three if you're keen.

Hawes is about seven miles by car. That's where the main shops are, a cheese creamery, and a couple of cashpoints. It's the nearest proper town.

For walks, you just step out of the door. You're right in the middle of the Yorkshire Dales National Park. The Pennine Way passes close by. If you drive, you can be in Swaledale or over in Dentdale within half an hour.

You can bring up to two dogs. All bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you need it.
