Mallard Llanmadoc

It's called Mallard and it's on our smallholding in Llanmadoc, just outside the village. It's a semi-detached, ground-floor cottage.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms: one double, one twin. One bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's well kept and comfortable.

The main room is open plan. There's a woodburner for cooler evenings. Outside at the front is a private courtyard with a stream. There are ducks about, and you look out over fields.

We've got a large field to the side where kids or dogs can run. If you bring dogs, they need to be on a lead on our land because of the livestock: sheep, chickens, horses. There's off-road parking.

You can walk straight from the door onto the footpaths. The village pub and shop are about a mile away. Rhossili Beach is two miles. The beach at Llangennith is good for surfing and is about the same distance. Watch the tides if you go out to Worms Head.

For other days out, the Gower Falconry in Penmaen is about a 20-minute drive. You can get to Swansea in under half an hour.

Facilities: all bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair. WiFi, a Smart TV, and a washing machine. The wood for the burner is provided. You can bring up to three dogs.
