The Old Byre is in Pitton, on the Gower. It's our place, next door to where we live on the farm. It sleeps six people. Three bedrooms, two bathrooms. One bedroom is downstairs with its own bathroom, which is handy.
It's a converted barn, so the ceilings are high and the rooms feel big. There's a woodburning stove for cooler nights. The garden is enclosed, so it's safe for dogs and kids. You get a good view of Worm's Head from there.
The stairs are a bit steep, like most old buildings. There's a stairgate at the top.
You're about a quarter of a mile from the coast path. To get to a sandy beach, you'd drive a few minutes. Llangennith is good for surfing. Rhossili Bay is about a fifteen minute drive and that's spectacular. For something quieter, Fall Bay is a walk from the cottage.
The nearest pub and restaurant are a short walk away, maybe five minutes. The shop is in Llangennith, about three miles.
We allow up to two dogs. We provide a cot and a highchair if you need them. All the bedding and towels are included. There's parking for a couple of cars right outside.
If you're planning walks, the Wales Coast Path site is useful. For information on the area, the Visit Wales page for Glamorgan is a good start.
