It's called West Kilbride. It's a single-storey cottage on South Uist, in the Outer Hebrides. You get the whole place, it's detached. Because it's all on one level, it's pretty straightforward inside.
It sleeps five. Three bedrooms and, handily, three bathrooms. That means nobody has to queue. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-equipped, not a palace.
The main thing is the view. You look right out over the beach towards Eriskay. You can see the sea from the living room. The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got kids or just want to sit outside without the wind taking your tea.
The beaches here are long and white. You can walk for miles. You'll see a lot of birds. Seals are common. If you're lucky, you might spot an otter or dolphins from the shore.
A pub and restaurant is about half a mile away. The local shop is in Lochboisdale, three miles down the road. That's where you'll get the ferry over to Barra if you fancy a day trip.
All the Uist islands are linked by causeway now, so you can drive from here right up through Benbecula to North Uist. It's easy to explore. For history, the Kildonan Museum is nearby and there are old sites like the chambered cairn at Barpa Langass. If you want to get out on the water, the Uist Outdoor Centre in Lochmaddy runs things like sea kayaking.
In the cottage you've got a woodburning stove, dishwasher, washing machine, WiFi and parking right there. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot and highchair if you need them. No pets, sorry.
