Ashknowe Log Cabin Duncrievie

Ashknowe Log Cabin is in Duncrievie, which is out in the Perthshire farmland. There are three of these cabins close together, but you've got your own space. It's a bungalow, so no stairs at all.

It sleeps two. One bedroom with an en-suite shower room. It's got a 4 Star rating so it's comfortable and well-equipped, but it's still a log cabin in a field, not a hotel.

The views are really good from up there. You look out over fields towards the Ochil and Lomond hills. The farmer leaves the meadows wild for wildlife. You can just walk out from the door.

It's quiet. The nearest proper village is Glenfarg, about three quarters of a mile away. They have a little shop. The closest pub is about three and a half miles. You'll want a car.

You're well placed for driving to things. Perth is about twenty minutes for shops or Scone Palace. Falkland Palace is maybe fifteen minutes. For a day out, you can get to Edinburgh, Stirling, or the beach at St Andrews in under an hour.

Inside it's open plan. There's a kitchen with a dishwasher and washing machine. You've got a patio with a barbecue, and parking right outside. Bedding and towels are included. There's a cot if you need one. WiFi is there but it can be slow, it's the countryside.
