The Steading Cottage is on our farm just outside Glenfarg. It's a stone farm building we converted, all on one level. The views are good, just open fields and hills.
It sleeps four in two bedrooms and has one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's clean and comfortable. Because it's all ground floor, it's straightforward for access. The doorways are standard width though.
Inside, it's been done up. There's a wood burning stove, which is nice in the evening. The kitchen has a dishwasher and a washing machine. We provide all the bedding and towels. There's a cot and a stairgate if you need them.
You're on a working farm, so you'll see us going about. There are sheep in the fields. Sometimes it's quiet, sometimes there's tractor noise. It’s a proper farm.
The village of Glenfarg is about two miles away. It has a shop and a play park. The nearest pub is four miles off in another village.
For getting out, you’re well placed. Perth is about a 20 minute drive north. Stirling and the Wallace Monument are about half an hour south. St Andrews and the east coast are maybe 40 minutes away. Loch Leven for walking is close by.
If you like walking, the National Trust for Scotland Ben Lawers site is about 40 minutes drive for higher hill walks. For general planning, Visit Perthshire has a lot of information.
Facilities are listed. There's parking right outside. No pets, sorry. The garden is a patio area with a table.
