This is Bracken Log Cabin. It's one of three cabins on a farm in Duncrievie, Perthshire. The main thing is the view. It's up a bit of a hill, so you look out over fields and trees towards the Ochil Hills. It's very quiet.
It's for two people. One bedroom, one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which means it's comfortable and well equipped. Everything is on one level.
The cabin itself is a proper roundwood lodge, so you get that log cabin smell. It's open plan. You've got a kitchen area, a sitting area, and doors out to your own enclosed patio. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. Bedding and towels are included. WiFi is there but it's a rural connection, so it's fine for checking things but not for streaming lots of films.
You can walk straight from the door. The farm has meadows kept for wildlife, and there are paths. The nearest shop is a small paper shop in Glenfarg, about three quarters of a mile away. The closest pub and restaurant is about three and a half miles.
For bigger shops, Perth is about a 20 minute drive. Scone Palace is nearby. Falkland Palace is about 15 minutes away. You can be in Stirling or Edinburgh in under an hour. St Andrews and the coast is about 40 minutes.
If you're looking for things to do, the National Trust for Scotland has information on palaces and walks. For local walking and cycling routes, Perthshire is a useful site.
No pets, sorry. There's parking right outside the cabin.
