Greenbank Cottage
Greenbank Cottage is on Ten Mile Bank, right by the Great Ouse river. It's one of a pair. You get the garden to yourselves, it's enclosed. The view from there is just the river and the fields across it. You can watch the boats go by.
It sleeps five in three bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. It's got a 4 Star rating, so it's comfortable and well looked after. The place is clean and tidy.
There's a local village about a mile away with a pub and a butcher's shop. For a bigger shop, you'd need to go to Downham Market, which is about three miles. It's a proper market town.
You're right on the riverbank, so it's good for fishing if you're into that. It's flat around here, so walking and cycling are easy. The road is quiet.
For days out, Downham Market is closest. Denver Windmill does cream teas. The Welney Wetlands are good for birdwatching. Sandringham House is about a 40-minute drive. The coast at Hunstanton is about 50 minutes, they've got a sea life centre there. Wells-next-the-Sea and Holkham are a bit further for a beach day. You can get to Norwich, Ely, or Cambridge if you fancy a city trip, they're all within an hour or so.
Facilities: there's a washing machine, WiFi, parking right at the cottage, and bedding and towels are included. We can put a cot up if you need one. One well-behaved dog is welcome.
