Darwin Cottage is in Jevington. It's in a converted flint barn, detached, in a courtyard next to our main house. The cottage sleeps four. Two bedrooms, two bathrooms. One of those bathrooms is downstairs. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable.
The garden is enclosed, which is good if you've got children or a dog. Sorry, no pets allowed though. There's a patio area with a BBQ.
The local pub is about a hundred yards away. They do food. The nearest shop is in Polegate, about two and a half miles. You'll drive through it on your way from the station.
For the coast, Eastbourne is about seven miles. It's a traditional seaside town. Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters cliffs are there too. The South Downs Way runs right past the village, so you can walk from the door. The path to Beachy Head from here is good.
Within about half an hour's drive you've got a few places. Herstmonceux Castle is about twenty minutes. The Observatory Science Centre there is good for kids. Pevensey Castle is a bit closer, towards Eastbourne. Drusillas zoo is near Alfriston. Brighton is about half an hour if you want a busier day out. Glyndebourne is not far either.
Inside, it's open plan downstairs. There's a washing machine and dishwasher. Wi-Fi is included. We provide bedding and towels. There's parking on the drive. There's also an electric vehicle charger if you need it.
