Darwin Cottage

It's Darwin Cottage in Jevington. It's a Grade II listed flint barn we converted. It's detached, which is nice. You get your own garden, it's enclosed. There's parking right there and an electric vehicle charger.

It's two bedrooms, sleeps four. Both bedrooms are doubles, and each one has its own bathroom. One bathroom is downstairs. That's useful.

It's got a 4 Star rating. It's comfortable and well-finished. It's open plan downstairs. There's a dishwasher and a washing machine. We include bedding and towels. There's a highchair and a stairgate if you need them.

The pub is about 100 yards away. They do food. The nearest shop is a couple of miles, in Polegate or Willingdon.

You're right on the edge of the South Downs here. The South Downs Way is basically on the doorstep for walking. You can walk up to the Long Man at Wilmington, or over to the coast at Beachy Head. Eastbourne is about seven miles for the seafront and that sort of thing.

Within about half an hour you've got a few places. Pevensey Castle, the Bluebell Railway, and Drusillas Zoo. Glyndebourne is about 25 minutes. Brighton is half an hour if you want the shops and the pier.

No pets, sorry. And we make it Christmassy in December.

For more ideas, the National Trust has some good places nearby like Bateman's.
