Brooke's Cottage
This is Brooke's Cottage in Jevington. It's a one-bedroom place for two people. You get the whole cottage and garden to yourselves.
It's a 4 Star place. That means it's comfortable and well-kept, not just the basics. The bedroom has a small ensuite shower room. The main room is open-plan so the kitchen, dining and sitting area are all together. The doors lead out to a private, enclosed garden with some steps down.
The location is the main thing. It's right in the South Downs National Park. The South Downs Way path passes very close by, so you can walk straight out onto it. The coast at Birling Gap or Eastbourne is about a fifteen minute drive. The views from the cottage are over fields and woodland.
There's a pub about a hundred yards away. It serves food. The nearest shop for a proper supermarket is a couple of miles away in Polegate, so you'll need a car. The village is quiet.
If you want to explore, the Seven Sisters cliffs are nearby. Glyndebourne is about a twenty-minute drive for opera. Herstmonceux Castle and its gardens are about half an hour away. Brighton is roughly forty minutes by car if you fancied that.
Facilities include a dishwasher, Wi-Fi, TV, and parking for one car on the drive. You can bring one dog. Bedding and towels are included.
