Brooke's Cottage
This is Brooke's Cottage in Jevington. It's a one-bedroom cottage that sleeps two. It's got a 4 Star rating. It's a good base if you like walking.
The cottage is in the South Downs National Park. The South Downs Way goes past it. The coast at Birling Gap or Eastbourne is about four miles away if you want the sea.
It's open plan downstairs. There's a kitchen area, a sofa, and doors out to the garden. The views from the windows are over fields and trees. The bedroom is upstairs. It has an en-suite shower room. The garden is enclosed, so it's fine for one well-behaved dog.
The village pub, The Eight Bells, is literally a minute's walk away. It's proper old-fashioned. The nearest shop is a couple of miles away in Wannock, so you'll need a car.
If you're driving out, Herstmonceux Castle is about twenty minutes away. The Seven Sisters cliffs are close. For theatre or opera, Glyndebourne is roughly half an hour's drive. The town of Lewes is about twenty minutes away.
Facilities: there's a dishwasher, WiFi, TV, and parking. Bedding and towels are included. There's bike storage if you need it.
