Owl Cottage is in Jevington, which is a small village right on the edge of the South Downs.
It's a bungalow, so everything is on one level. That might be useful for some people. It sleeps three people in two bedrooms. There's one bathroom with a shower. We've got a 4 Star rating. One dog is welcome.
The place is open plan. You've got the kitchen, dining area and sitting area all together. It's warm and gets good light. Facilities are straightforward: there's a dishwasher and a washing machine, WiFi, and parking right outside.
The village is quiet. There's a pub about five minutes walk away. They do food. There's also a tea room nearby.
For getting out, you're in a good spot. You can walk straight out onto the footpaths into the South Downs National Park. The Cuckmere Valley is right there. The Seven Sisters cliffs and Beachy Head are about a fifteen minute drive. Cuckmere Haven beach is a bit further, maybe twenty minutes by car.
Eastbourne is four miles away for shops, the pier, and the theatre. If you fancy a day out, Herstmonceux Castle is about half an hour's drive. So is Battle Abbey. Brighton is further, maybe forty minutes to an hour depending on traffic.
