Oak Cottage

This is Oak Cottage in Jevington. It's a detached cottage, so you're not sharing walls with anyone. It's just for two people, with one bedroom and one bathroom. It's got a 4 Star rating, which is good. It's clean and comfortable.

The cottage is in the South Downs National Park. The village is small and quiet. There's a pub about 500 yards away. The nearest shop is a couple of miles, in Alfriston. You'll need a car.

The bedroom is a good size with a double bed. There's a shower in the bathroom. The kitchen has what you need, including a dishwasher. There's WiFi and a TV. The garden is enclosed, which is handy if you're bringing a dog. You can bring one dog.

Outside, there's parking and a place to put bicycles. The garden looks out over other gardens and towards the Downs.

For walking, you're right on the South Downs Way. Beachy Head and the Seven Sisters cliffs are about a ten minute drive. The coast at Cuckmere Haven is the same. The National Trust looks after a lot of it.

Eastbourne is four miles away. That's where you'll find the proper seafront and shops. Alfriston village is closer for a tea room or a wander. Brighton is about half an hour by car. The South Downs National Park site has more ideas for walks and visits.

Things to know: the cottage is one of a few on the same site. They're all separate. You can book the one next door as well if there are four of you. It's a rural spot, so it's peaceful.
