Kestrel Cottage

Kestrel Cottage is on our farm in Dalreavoch, near Rogart. It's a detached bungalow, so there are no stairs inside. You look out over the fields where our sheep are.

It sleeps four in two bedrooms. Each bedroom has its own bathroom, which is handy. One has a free-standing bath in the room. The place has a 4 Star rating. It's well kept and comfortable.

The living area is open plan. There's a woodburning stove for cooler nights. Outside, there's a private, enclosed garden with a hot tub. The hot tub is screened off from the farmyard. There's parking right outside and an electric vehicle charger.

We're a working farm. You'll see us going about with the tractor sometimes. You're welcome to walk around the farm tracks. We allow up to three well-behaved dogs.

The coast is about nine or ten miles away. Golspie and Dornoch are both a short drive. Dornoch has a good beach and the famous golf course. Further north, you join the North Coast 500 route.

For a day out, the Falls of Shin are about a 25-minute drive. You might see salmon leaping there in season. If you like whisky, the Glenmorangie Distillery is in Tain, about half an hour away.

The facilities are all there: washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV, cot and highchair if you need them. Bedding and towels are included.

Useful links: Visit Scotland NC500 and Wildland, who manage a lot of the local land.
