Osprey Lodge is on our farm at Dalreavoch, up in the hills near Rogart. It's a solid timber lodge, detached, so you're on your own up there. It sits on about 50 hectares of our croft land. The views are what you're here for, really. Just open hills and sky.
It sleeps four people. Two king-size bedrooms, one bathroom which has both a bath and a proper walk-in wet room shower. The whole place is on one level with no steps at the front, so it's good for wheelchairs or if stairs are a problem.
The main room is open plan. There's a wood burner which is nice on cooler evenings. Patio doors go straight out onto a deck where the hot tub is. You're private there, nobody can see you.
It's a working farm, so there will be sheep and cattle around. You'll see deer, lots of birds. We get ospreys and red kites. You might hear curlews.
The village of Rogart is about a mile and a half down the road. There's a pub that does food, a small shop and post office, and a railway station if you're coming by train.
You're quite central for getting about up here. Dornoch is about fifteen minutes by car. That's where the beach is, and the cathedral, and the famous golf course. Dunrobin Castle is worth a trip, it's about half an hour away. The Falls of Shin are good for seeing salmon, that's maybe twenty-five minutes.
For facilities, you've got the basics covered: parking right outside, washing machine, dishwasher, WiFi, TV. Bedding and towels are included. We can provide a cot and highchair. We take up to three dogs.
