Red Kite Lodge Dalreavoch

Red Kite Lodge is on our farm near Dalreavoch. You get to it by a track, about a mile and a half off the main road. It's a wooden lodge, detached. It's very quiet.

It sleeps four. Two bedrooms, both with kingsize beds. One bathroom, which has a bath and a separate walk-in shower. The whole place is level access from the decking, which is useful if you have mobility issues.

The main room is open plan. Big patio doors look straight out over the croft land and hills. You can see our sheep and cattle from there. We often see red kites and deer.

There's decking outside with a table and a private hot tub. The hot tub is new. You're welcome to use it any time.

It's a 4 Star place, so it's comfortable and has everything you'd need. The kitchen is modern. There's a dishwasher, washing machine, and an electric vehicle charger. Bedding and towels are included.

You can bring up to three dogs. The garden is enclosed.

The village of Rogart is just over a mile away. It has a pub that does food, a shop, and a post office. There's also a railway station there if you fancy leaving the car.

Dornoch is about fifteen minutes by car. Nice beach, a cathedral, and a golf course. Dunrobin Castle is worth a trip, it's about half an hour's drive towards Golspie. The Falls of Shin, where you can see salmon leaping, are about twenty minutes away. For a longer day out, you're well placed for the whole north coast or heading west towards Ullapool.
